The Child Within

There's a child inside, no matter the age,
Even as we grow, through life's endless stage.
Though we mature and we try to be strong,
The child remains in silence, where we belong.

It's the burst of laughter when we do not try,
The dreams that take flight with no limit, it doesn't die.
In moments of peace, in the simplest of sights,
It dances with joy, the joy of gentle lights.

But not for all, this child will appear,
Only with those who make us feel safe and near.
No need for masks or need of a guise,
With them, we can be without disguise.

So when you are playful, or goofy,
That is not weakness, it's where we meant to be.
It means your soul finds comfort and care,
In a space where you are safe, none to compare.

Treasure the ones who let you be free,
Who reminds you life's not just what we see..
Beneath all the weight, behind grown up faces,
There is a heart that still seeks joy in small places.

Sometimes we need to let that child play,
To heal, to laugh, to dream, to brighten our way.
So hold these close who help you see,
That the child inside is still part of me.

The Journey Of Us

We have completed our journey,
Learning the lessons we were meant to learn.
The universe has chosen we should not meet again,
As the cycle ended when we both departed.

Living under the same sky,
In the same country, state and city.
Though we share connections in common,
The cycle ended when we both departed.

Life has brought me in touch with many,
Some to help, some to hurt, some to stay and some to leave.
Each encounter strengthens what I am to become,
For the cycle ended when we both departed.

So, I let go of attachments,
The joys and sorrows tied to her.
Life moves forward with its lessons,
As the cycle ended when we both departed.

What she did with my heart,
It is between her and me.
But what she did with my soul,
It is between her and the devil.

Lessons in Love's Disguise

We have loved, We have lost, and we’ve cried,
Nights were long and quiet, to sleep we tried.
Our hearts flooded, pillows soaked in pain,
And the nights pass like a slow moving train.

We ask the stars, we ask the breeze,
"Are they real?" no answers, they freeze.
A guide, a teacher, in love's disguise,
Sent to open our closed eyes.

One brought joy then went away;
Teaching happiness forever, doesn't stay.
One broke us, left a permanent scar,
Helping us become who we are.

One stayed awhile, but did not last,
Teaching, life changes constantly and it’s fast.
One never loved, but we learned,
Unchecked desires will lead to heart burn.

They came with no textbook, no rule,
Only their presence; bitter and cool.
In Love, it’s not being in chain but in letting go,
It’s not weakness; it’s how we grow.

There is no forever, that is not the real plan,
Only lessons, etched by each woman or man.
Some wrote verses, some just a line,
But all were needed, they are nature's design.

We are not broken, just growing through,
Each one was a mirror, shaped us to be tough.
So take the lesson and leave the person and pain,
As each chapter, for us it is already written.

The Cost Of Kindness

The mouths that praised me now curse me behind,
The stomachs I fed burn with jealousy.
The legs I once guided toward the light,
Now long to kick me into darkness.

The hands I held through the hardest storms,
Withdrew when I reached for help.
The hearts I comforted brought me sorrow,
The minds I opened forgot my name.

The ones who once needed me vanished when I did,
Those I loved most turned away in hate.
The good deeds were twisted into wrong,
My skills, once helped many, were dismissed as flaws.

The words I spoke to lift others high,
Left me buried in distress.
The loyalty I held like a sacred ground,
Was trampled cold by betrayal.

The respect I gave to a chosen few
Was returned with silence and disrespect.
I was ready to die for some;
They wouldn't lose a single strand of hair.

Even the lion in the jungle,
Doesn't spare the good-hearted.
Such are people on this earth;
And we must live with that truth.

In Her Thoughts Loop

My eyes wander when she is not around,
Until they meet her gaze; then go to ground.
A glance from her, and all is clear,
She soothes my heart, just by being near.

Every time she gazes, my heart loses control,
Yet I hold it so it doesn't fall.
When she speaks its like waving a magic wand,
And my nerves react, wanting to jump beyond.

When I don’t get to see her,
It's like a fasting day for my eyes.
And the days I don't think of her,
Are like dry days for the mind.

My heart is a bomb, ticking her name,
The day it stops; it won't be the same.
It will explode and when it does,
The damage will show what my longing was.

Continuous mental traffic burns bright,
My eyes refuse to surrender to night.
So here I remain, in her thoughts loop,
Lost in the gravity, unable to recoup.

She Is A River In Paradise

You, dear, are a canal of paradise,
A human soul in divine disguise.
You heart is a place of everlasting happiness,
Where peace and prosperity resides always.

Your spirit flows from a higher place,
A heart of bliss, of love and praise.
Like souls of light with good deeds rise,
You are a delight in human guise.

To those you love, you bring pure light,
Your gentle touch will make all things right.
That is how your vibes are for everyone.
Wherever you are, you bring the taste of heaven.

Your love flows like the rivers of paradise,
But not many get a chance to reside.
I seeked a permanent citizenship, as a pride,
To live in your heart forever, but access was denied.

An Orchestra Within

My heart beats like a drum
And my nerves strum like a guitar's rhythm.
All the words that come from my mind
Turns into a song, just for her.

In that tune, my soul starts dancing,
Free from all worries and boundaries.
My blood flows like a river waiting,
Ready to rush out when the dam breaks.

She is the music of my life,
The song that lives in my heart.
If only I could dare ask god himself,
To borrow her for this life's journey.

Many times I wonder, why god created her,
Will I get an answer for my question, ever.
Her beauty cuts me like a sword,
Yet I fall for her again and again.

My love for her grows with time,
Like old wine, aged cheese, it’s become fine.
When I was near, it didn’t feel this deep,
But after a distance, it’s grown to be rich.

Each part of me plays a different tune,
Of the memories that I keep with care.
She created an orchestra inside me,
But she is not here to hear the music.

Her love acts as a conductor,
Guiding my body parts to play.
She became a rare tune on this earth,
The most special I have heard since birth.

Love's Emotional Abuse

The one we care about the most,
Treats us like an option and not a priority.
They disappear whenever they choose,
Only to return when it is convenient.

Love is not a guessing game,
It shouldn't leave us crying at night
Waiting for messages, for calls,
For any signs that they still care.

We feel trapped, ignored and unwanted,
Forced to question our own worth.
We wait for someone to care & love us,
The way we care & love them, but hear only silence.

Pain doesn't always come from shouting or fights,
The deepest wounds are cut from silence.
We feel like we don’t matter even when we reach first,
This isn't love; It's emotional neglect.

Each one of us deserve better,
Do not hesitate to walk away.
When care, love & respect is real, it is mutual;
When it's reciprocated, it feels like home.

The Drug In Her Smile

The smile she wears takes me high,
My dopamine surges and I touch the sky.
My Heart grows wings and starts to fly,
And all the world just passes by.

To see her smile; it’s a festival of light,
A blissful fire that burns so bright.
It melts my heart with strong desire,
A spark, a flame and a holy fire.

Her laughter's sound, a song divine
My blood begins to dance in time.
Her eyes pull me close, with just one look,
Like a story from a magic book.

In her smile, I forget the pain,
Like a drug that rushes through my brain.
I lose myself and I lose the fight,
Yet find my peace in her pure light.

For every smile, my soul takes a flight,
She is the day for my darkest nights.
And the whole world passes me by,
The smile she wears still gets me high.

She Wears the Sky and Rules Hearts

It seemed like you were wearing the whole blue sky,
Designed around you, from neck to toe.
Is it only mine that gets attacked
Or have you given many other hearts too.

Your face was lit with moons grace,
And I saw stars shining in your eyes.
Are you a witness? how good artist god is,
As you look like you are going to conquer the world.

Luckily there are no kings or kingdoms,
Who knows how many would have fallen for you.
You hold the beauty to make any kings kneel,
To seek your hand; and queens will burn in envy.

Everytime you smile, it will be a festival,
As such is your grace and beauty, a marvel.
Wherever you are or with whoever you are,
Hope you live like a queen born to rule.

God is so cruel for pouring world’s shine on you,
So you can brighten any place and even hearts.
Many hearts will burn from the light of your presence,
So don’t know if you are a blessing or a heart’s curse.

Every Time I See Her

Every time she walks past me,
The oxygen around me fades.
Everytime I see her smile,
It feels like my heart, a little it breaks.

My eyes have wandered in the past,
But only she catches my eye.
My heart has rented a few,
Don’t know why she seems to own it.

Her flowing hair is a trap,
My heart often gets caught like a fish.
Her innocent smile is an ocean,
In her thoughts often I drown.

I try to speak, but I search for words,
As my voice gets lost in her presence.
She is close, yet so far away,
And it just doesn't seem fair.

I wonder if she even knows,
How deeply I think of her.
But I bury my feelings within,
Afraid of what might happen.

Her Connection

Her vibe is a network, quick and clear,
Protected by a password; my fear.
The one who gets inside her world,
Gets to hold her heart day and night.

A receiver of her vibe is my mind
And my heart, a Bluetooth, seeks to find.
Forever scanning for her signal to connect,
To link our souls in love’s eternal net.

Her thoughts are locked in my mind like clouds,
Coded dreams of romance behind every star.
But when she links, it’s deep and true,
Filling my mind with dreams anew.

I go offline to the world around,
When she's near as my heart is fond.
No noise, no games; just simple truth;
A silent spark between us two.

I send my feelings through the air,
In texts, in thoughts and silent dreams.
Maybe one day, she will unlock her soul to see me;
Not just in parts, but wholly and completely.
