But one cannot be in it nor we can keep.
Wake up before it ends,
You will not know what, it pretends.
You give and give, big or small,
Time, care, energy, love and all.
All this can feel like a devotion,
And one can feel proud like it's a crown.
All will feel great and better,
But slowly, quietly, you disappear.
Giving everything will not make one to stay,
Become someone they like and it will pave a way.
You start leaving your desires behind,
And your joy for their peace of mind.
Your dreams become silent for love,
As you were told it’s selfless and from above.
By loving too much, you let them win;
But the truth is, it will lead to your pain.
Love is not about becoming less,
It's growing and becoming more, in togetherness.
Life doesn't promise you forever,
and there is no check list to keep them ever.
You can love deeply and show up every day,
You can give them tenderness and loyalty to stay.
You can open your heart allowing them,
But you cannot make them stay all the time.
You cannot make them love you in return,
As you will lose yourself trying.
Because true love survives endings in silence,
As it’s not about possession, but presence.
It's about the truth that says,
No love is love if it costs you and betrays.
