A Doormat Life

Few people in life, we will meet,
They will speak nicely to be great.
They show us dreams that are not real,
Using others for benefits is their only deal.

They will prove their garden is greener,
With only artificial plants as they're meaner.
'I am not like others', they often say,
But the real face we will see, each day.

They will care only a few,
Racism is part of their act and it’s not new.
They want benefit from everyone,
When it’s not found, they'll simply move on.

On your face they will speak to be sweet,
And behind your back they'll cheat.
Blinded by sadism, ego and pride,
Outside they act kind, truth inside they hide.

If you let people walk on you this way,
You become a doormat every day.
So live your life with strength and grace,
By living honestly for a day, you can leave a trace.
