At the age of young, as a teen.
Wanted you as my love, to last,
Don't know, something came in between.
I witnessed your glow with a sparkle,
Around me, I felt like I was standing in the snow.
May be we both didn't knew love, so tragical,
Should have waited for us to grow.
All those sweet goodbye’s en route to school,
Many times eagerly I waited for your return.
Showing off in your presence, moments were cool,
Every time you weren’t near and my heart used to burn.
Sometimes what we want doesn't want us,
Time has its own plan, worse or for better.
Felt like it was love's curse,
Like mine, I hope you too ended with a life sweeter.
I wish I get a chance again for those small talks,
That once we had; on a gate standing either side.
Not bothered about sun down nor moon’s walk,
Just immersed in our talks, a time zone I wish to reside.
As a grown up, now I know, what it is;
We liked toys, our favorites as a kid.
Yet now we don’t sleep with them, but yet miss,
And we accept what life offers, and can't bid.
So, my dear I will forever cherish our younger days,
Now we are living a blessed life with mixed emotions.
Yet I wish, that one day we might meet, in our greys,
I hope to have a small chat about life’s perceptions.
