All That She Didn’t Do It

I gave her my love as a gift,

Hoping she would keep it forever, but she didn't.

I gave her care to comfort her,

Expecting she would return it, but she didn't.

I gave her my heart, full of emotions,

Expecting she wouldn't throw it away, but she did.

I gave her the power to destroy me,

Expecting she wouldn't, but she did.

I gave her peace, built around her,

Expecting she would keep it intact, but she didn't

I gave her my time, my most valuable,

Expecting she would treasure it, but she didn't.

I gave her my whole world,

Expecting she would stay, but she didn't

I gave her my life and my all,

Expecting she would safeguard it, but she didn't.

All that I hoped she wouldn’t do,

She ended up doing it.

And all that I wished she would do,

She ended up not doing it.
