A Manipulative World

We live in a world of social masks,
Where reality & truth is buried, as it's a life task.
Our minds are shaped like clay and bent,
Making us forget the life we truly meant.

With degrees so high and job titles grand,
People chase wealth, unknowing its a quick sand.
This world is no longer to live, but only to fight,
For many a war for survival, every day and night.

Hard work, honesty, loyalty, are just words,
Lost in the sound of a world, that's absurd.
People with eloquent lies win the crown,
The ones with truth and integrity, are pulled down.

Love, care and responsibilities are just a game,
Replaced by the hunger for fortune and fame.
Partying, flaunting, pretending is fair,
While the honest souls are choking for air.

When we want to be part of the team,
To play our part fair, in the game.
Some people just keep us in the game,
But never a part of the team.

People get tricked by illusions, that shines bright,
Then complain about the reality, it doesn't have light.
In this world that turns with an empty sound,
We search for the truth that can never be found.
