People think love will is measured,
By gifts, dinners, parties and pleasure.
Proving it for a single day,
Then living life as usual in their own way.
Posting online, declaring it to all,
"This person is mine, and we will never fall."
But that is not bold and not wise,
They are just empty words and empty lies.
No one needs a day to feel lovable,
Flowers, gifts and outings, all perishable.
Many think romance is what love means,
But love is in giving, not in taking scenes__
Changing partners like changing attire,
People today are driven only by desire.
For many, love is a tourist spot,
Visit once in a year, then soon forget.
True love is devotion, even from afar,
It grows each day, like a steady star.
Not a game of hearts or passing trend,
But a bind that lasts, one need not pretend.
Love needs no spotlight, no advertisement,
It's a fire burning inside, giving excitement.
