but my eyes refused to see.
Her late replies were decisions,
showing my place in her heart.
Her excuses and distance,
made it obvious, there was no chance.
When she acted cold,
it was not by mistake, but her choice.
I told myself she was stressed,
with her life and work.
It was a lie i believed,
because I was scared to lose her.
The day I feared losing her,
I lost my self-respect and dignity.
I panicked when she pulled back
and left me waiting.
She left me confused and anxious,
it was a sign to step back,
but I kept asking for her love,
hoping things will change.
I should've known if I mattered to her,
she would have made time.
But all she gave me was silence and distance,
showing my true value in her life.
