These days love looks perfect on every screen,
Smiling faces, happy moments,
and places we have never been,
for some time,
I also believed love should be that way,
without fights, without doubts,
every single day.
But real love taught me a different truth,
It is not a fairytale from my restless youth.
There are misunderstandings,
silent nights, and pain,
yet two hearts choose each other again and again.
Stop looking for someone perfect that you wont find,
and start valuing, caring and understanding.
Not someone to fill every empty space inside,
But a companion to walk side by side.
Two people carrying flaws that cannot disappear,
both having wounds, dreams, and hidden fears.
Still both staying, learning, and wanting to grow,
holding on tighter when life moves slow.
Love is not fixing every broken part,
it is accepting the cracks inside a heart.
Not demanding change at every bend,
but helping each other heal and mend.
Now I know what lasting love can be,
Two imperfect souls choosing "us" over "me",
Not because life is easy or skies are always blue,
But because both never give up
when struggles come through.
