The devil's do not dwell in another world,
They are not invisible, like stories of childhood.
They are the same people that we live with, pay heed
People with various masks change when in need.
That close friend of yours for decades,
Can instantly become an enemy in seconds.
That partner of yours, with love and care,
Will turn against, if not satisfied, they'll not spare.
Our children whom we love, care and nurture,
Will never hesitate to disrespect or to torture.
Everyone within, has a darker side,
They know it well, yet from the world they hide.
The good, bad and ugly, everyone has it,
The rich, poor or religious, it doesn't matter, I bet.
The devil's do not need a hell to survive,
Heaven, earth, or hell, everywhere it will live.
None reveals their true version,
If known priorly, it will leave us frozen.
We cannot slay as they are unseen,
Consider them souls that are unclean.
These devils reside in everyone's minds,
They pop only to feed on, a way out it finds.
Anger, lust, greed, vengeance and arrogance,
It just waits for the right chance.
On a pretext as friends, colleagues and family,
They eat and drink with us and behave casually.
When time comes for their survival,
True color, they will reveal.
The heaven they enjoy and the suffering of hell,
They’ve built it in their minds for the devil to dwell.
Only if people realise that all are one and equal,
Wealth and fame are an illusion; the world will be magical.
