Ego

Ego is like a coin with two side,

Showing both self-respect and pride.

A healthy balance of confidence is true,

Lifts our spirits and guides us too.

The shadow of ego can lead us away,

Too much pride can spoil one’s day.

Arrogance, a filth that can cloud our mind,

Dulls our senses and makes us behave unkind.

When the fire of ego’s begins to grow,

Our emotional intelligence goes too low.

Notice the warnings, which cause fears,

Know what is right, not just what appears.

Ego is a guard we should flaunt in strife,

Defending us against our worries in life.

It gives us sense of both strong and weak,

An imbalance can make us hesitate to seek.

Humility is an asset and a guide,

Helps us face failures with eyes open wide.

Learning from our faults and accepting our own,

In our imperfections, true strength is shown.

So, value the balance and respect, ego is might,

In its process from morning till night.

With awareness, let us find our right way,

Through ego, for a better and brighter day.
