And forget where truth and goodness stay.
Their hearts grow greedy, their minds unkind,
They lose their path and walk half blind.
They chase what shines, the praise, the fame,
But never see their growing shame.
Kindness won't grow where lies are sown,
And in seeds of hate, love will never be grown.
They twist the truth for selfish gain,
And bring to others grief and pain.
They stand in pride, soon will fall,
Their hearts find no peace at all.
But people who love with honest hearts,
Find peace and joy that never parts.
Their path is bright and spirit clear,
They walk with love, with a heart that is sincere.
So choose the way that brings you peace,
Where truth and kindness never cease.
For in the dark, confusion grows,
But in the light, a good heart knows.
