Destiny’s Play

I loved a girl who was never there,
Born only in my mind.
I tried to imprint my thoughts
Onto someone I just knew.

I hoped my illusions would come to life,
But reality did not listen.
Still, they brought me other things,
Pain, distress, heartbreak and sadness.

My thoughts kept changing,
They change with wounds and time.
But love does not follow the mind
It doesn't follow worldly rules.

I broke my heart a thousand times,
Cursed her in all lifetime.
Yet somewhere, in another life
I will see her eyes again.

I tried to bury her in hatred,
But love does not die easily.
The truth is harsher than that,
Honestly, I can never stop loving her.

In every lifetimes,
My love tries to find her heart,
Through all the worldly pain,
Because we are children of destiny and its play.
