Life's Rarest Treasures

I trained my mind,
To accept that she wasn't for us.
But this foolish heart,
refuses to listen to a single word I say.

Did I fall for her, or for her mask?
For her logic, or the magic?
Did I fall for her face, or her inner light,
For her illusion, or a truth in my sight.

Sometimes I wish, every moment with her,
were trapped in an endless time loop.
Every moment repeats again, and again
and only I would know.

Did I fall for her words, or their meaning?
For her thoughts, or the mind that hides them there.
For her body, or the soul she keeps inside,
For the way she is, or the way my eyes decide.

All her memories, I hold it so tight,
I guard it like life's rarest treasures.
I carry the luggage, heavy and burden,
Yet I still refuse to put them down.
