many hearts still carry,
if I love enough, they will change,
if I stay, they will become soft.
So you keep waiting,
thinking love will fix everything,
that your patience is power,
that your staying has meaning.
But this love is not strong,
it is born from deep hidden fear,
fear of loss and emptiness,
fear that leaving is failure.
So, you try to save a person,
give light to their darkness,
but slowly, without knowing,
you start losing your own light.
You excuse what once hurt you,
you accept what felt so wrong,
you fight battles not yours,
and call it love for a long time.
Then one day it comes,
a truth you cannot hide,
this is not love, it’s only attachment,
for which you slowly erased yourself.
