it only waits for the perfect moment
to reopen old scars,
allowing hope to bloom
only to break my heart
each time it returns.
Her past still haunts the darkness,
refusing to become light.
True love disguises itself
as moments of happiness,
yet in reality,
it often wears the face
of one-sided grief.
Now every passing moment
reminds me
of everything I lost with her.
If time truly erases pain,
then why do her memories
still find their way
into my heart?
Why does it still carry
the weight of forgotten tears?
Why do certain words
echo louder
than the voice she once spoke?
So time has taught me
not how to forget,
but how to carry her pain
quietly enough for the world
to mistake survival for healing.
Perhaps that is why
some scars are beautiful,
not because they no longer hurt,
but because they have learned
to bloom even through the pain.
And if time gave me another chance
to begin my life again,
my heart would still
find its way back to her.
