A Thousand Years’ Wait

I waited for a thousand years,
And I would wait for thousands more.
I feel the pull, yet remain silent,
She knows my soul cries for her.

She hears my silent screams,
Yet chooses to stay at a distance.
She carries a heavenly spell,
An angel the heavens once sent.

I miss her in silence,
Every moment, day and night.
I wonder why she fills my thoughts,
And I blink like a thief caught in light.

She is somewhere I cannot reach,
Yet all her memories remain intact.
I miss everything about her,
Her voice, her smiles, our small talks.

I feel a burden on my chest,
The silent pain refuses to leave.
Left with only memories,
And fragments of her that come like waves.

A part of me is still stuck,
In the past we used to have.
I wish to tell her everything,
Yet I wait, hoping she somehow knows.

I waited for a thousand years,
And I would wait for thousands more.
