What She Taught Me By Leaving

There comes a moment
when the one who always understood,
always adjusted, always forgave,
finally gathers the strength to walk away.

Not out of anger, but out of exhaustion.
And only then do we realize:
The shine we enjoyed was their presence.
The confidence we carried
was their belief in us.
The peace we felt was their patience
holding everything together.

The world suddenly feels emptier.
The silence becomes louder.
The lessons finally arrive,
but the person who taught them is gone.

Regret is a strange teacher.
It teaches perfectly, but always too late.
Sometimes, all we can do
is stand from a distance
and appreciate what we once had.

We hope they shine brighter
in a world that finally sees their true worth.
We don't realize someone's value
when their presence feels permanent.

We realize it when we understand
that losing them was not painful because they left.
It was painful because
we never truly showed them
how much they meant
while they were still here.

Some people leave quietly,
but the lessons they leave behind
remain forever.
Regret always comes too late,
Love should not.
So, I love truly, I love freely, I love fully.
